Our Story

Wild Dawn was founded by Hattie, a qualified Forest School Leader with over 7 years of experience supporting children and young people across education, play, and charity settings. Through her work, particularly with children who had experienced abuse or trauma, Hattie saw first- hand how time spent in natural environments could have a powerful, positive impact on emotional wellbeing, confidence, and connection.

Offering a calm, nurturing space to play, connect & grow, is the backbone of Wild Dawn. Through her support work, Hattie witnessed firsthand the deep need for greater support for young people across South East Wales. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment that celebrates their individuality and nurtures their learning, physical wellbeing, emotional resilience, and social growth—because this is what makes us feel whole.

In a world where children are increasingly affected by fast-paced lifestyles, rising screen- time and academic pressures, time spent in nature is more important than ever.

At Wild Dawn, we give children the chance to slow down, switch off, and engage fully with the world around them. Whether climbing trees, building dens, or sitting round a fire using tools, our nature-based approach encourages creativity, confidence, and resilience — giving children the strongest possible foundation for life.
